Greetings Web Surfers,

My name is Brian Maglietta and I am a rare breed of surf photographer and a web designer from the Washington D.C area based in Virginia. In this site you will find great action photography, as well as nature and scenic photography, and the occasional portrait. I do have a love for photography and web design, and thought it would be fun to combine the 2 professions. I started taking pictures back in high school and really got into it after I got my first published shot in 1996 for Eastern Surf Magazine. Action based Photography is still a side project with my full-time job, but it is a strong passion of mine. I am a senior surf photographer for Eastern Surf Magazine , and a contributor to SURFER and Longboard Magazine, and have had my photos on the the cover of East Coast Surf Info Center (surfing web site), and Surfrider's web site. You can also check out Club of the Waves a very good British surfart site that has me listed in the ranks of some of the top photographers of our sport all across the globe. Technical Photo Information

I now use a Canon 30D camera body with Canon & Sigma lenses.  I  have 3 lenses I use.  I have a Canon 17-55mm IS 4-5.6, 70-200 Canon F4 and a Sigma 500mm Apo 4.5. I also use a Slik 300DX tripod to keep my camera and lenses steady. I use a Nikon Coolscan IV slide scanner and Photoshop CS and Image Ready CS with Dreamweaver MX 2004 to put this site together.
